What is a photovoltaic system?

A photovoltaic system is a system that allows the production of electricity through solar energy, exploiting the properties of materials (such as silicon) sensitive to sunlight.

What are the main components of a photovoltaic system?

- Photovoltaic modules: main element of the system, their exposure to solar radiation allows the production of electricity (direct current).

- Inverter: electronic device that allows the conversion of Energy from direct current to alternating corrrente, thus allowing the use of energy for electrical household.

- Switchboards and connection cables: various devices that complement the photovoltaic system

- Measuring Energy: meters installed to measure the amount of energy produced and fed into the grid.

How do I earn with the installation of a photovoltaic system?

With the installation of a photovoltaic system I have three gains:

1 – cost savings on the bill of electricity supply

2 – Promoting Energy Bill

3 – on-site exchange / dedicated withdrawal

What is the Energy Bill?

The Energy Bill is the main mechanism of incentive state and provides that the State will guarantee a return period of 20 years for the production of electricity from renewable sources.

The remuneration is calculated by multiplying all the energy produced by your facility for the corresponding feed-in tariff.

The Energy Bill is paid by the GSE (Energy Services) every two months, with direct transfer to the bank account.

What is the incentive rate?

The incentive rate is measured in Euro / kWh and is established according to the Decree 05/05/2011: installed power, date of entry into the facility and type of installation.

Read the Ministerial Decree May 5, 2011 with the incentive rates

Example: Energy produced in [1000 kWh] x in tariff [0.361 Euro / kWh] = 361 Euro

Exchange either on site or dedicated withdrawal?

The third gain derived from photovoltaics is the trade arrangements.

If you choose a trade regime the exchange on the spot you decide to autoconsumare their energy.

If you choose the dedicated withdrawal you decide to sell all the energy produced.

What is net metering?

The metering is the mechanism of energy exchange between the manager of the electricity (Enel) and the client that produces solar energy through its solar power system.

The mechanism adjusts the economic costs and benefits according to the quantity of energy withdrawn and injected from the mains.

Advances through a half-yearly and annual adjustment, GSE provides a contribution for the user account in Exchange.

This is a contribution of economic intervention “equalizer”, in other words it is as if the user had self-produced and consumed on the spot all the energy that actually has been changed.

You have the option to choose between:

credit to the management of any surplus in subsequent years

the cash settlement (annual) of surplus

What is the dedicated withdrawal?

The withdrawal is the other dedicated trade regime that you can choose as an alternative to Net Metering.

The energy produced can be sold at a price established by the Electricity and Gas.

What are the practices to do?

Municipal approval processes.

Application for connection to Enel.

Request for connection to PV system to Enel.

Request Conto Energia feed-in tariff and demand Convention on the spot exchange / Withdrawal Dedicated to the GSE.

EU?

With the Fourth Energy Bill currently in force as per the Decree of 05/05/2011, if you use European products for a share of at least 60% of the total expenditure incurred for the construction of photovoltaic there is an increase of 10% of the tariff incentive.

Why should I install a photovoltaic if you already need to dispose of coverage in Asbestos?

If you need to dispose of a cover slabs of asbestos containing asbestos should build a photovoltaic system because it is being awarded a prize maggiorativo of 0.05 € / kWh produced.
